Melissa was born and raised in Columbus, GA. She learned about the business world early on through exposure to her parents' successful auto dealership. Eventually, she became well-known in the community as the face of the dealership through a long-running series of TV and radio commercials. Melissa also came to understand just how fortunate she was to learn invaluable life lessons from parents whose commitment to hard work and excellence had earned them their own slice of the American Dream.
A born leader, Melissa showed signs of the accomplished woman she would become in her years at Auburn University and in the banking industry. Her life took an unforeseen turn with the untimely passing of her father. Melissa made the decision to step into her father's shoes and join her mother in running one of Columbus's busiest car dealerships. Melissa helped maintain the dealership's reputation for Top Customer Satisfaction among Acura and BMW dealerships nationwide.
Melissa has taken on her next challenge helping Columbus residents accomplish their real estate dreams. Counting her business experience, her four decades of marketing and sales experience, and lasting relationships in the community, Melissa has propelled herself to the forefront of this competitive industry. It is Melissa's unwillingness to settle for anything less than the best for the clients that have earned her a sterling reputation.
For Melissa, the personal achievement is only one side of the coin. Her true success comes from the impact she makes on the world. A breast cancer survivor, Melissa wanted to help with the struggles many face as a result of this terrible disease. She created the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon through the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation. This luncheon has grown into the premier breast cancer awareness event each October with over 1,500 women attending. Melissa also serves on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley, as well as several other boards and committees in the community.
